Alex Carpenter, Amber Glenn, Erin Jackson, Hayley Scamurra and More Than 80 2026 Winter Games Women Athletes Honored with Keys to the Las Vegas Strip and Free Public Enemy Concert

LAS VEGAS (July 17, 2026) – Hundreds of fans lined Las Vegas Boulevard last night as MGM Resorts International and rapper Flavor Flav welcomed more than 80 elite women athletes with a celebratory parade, keys to the Las Vegas Strip and a live concert, officially kicking off “SHE Weekend.” The multi-day celebration is recognizing the nation’s incredible competitors and their achievements in spectacular Las Vegas fashion with a series of events across The Strip.

Among those participating in Thursday night’s celebration were Erin Jackson (Speed Skating), Amber Glenn (Figure Skating), Cayla Barnes (Ice Hockey), Hannah Bilka (Ice Hockey), Britta Curl-Salemme (Ice Hockey), Ellie Kam (Figure Skating), Kelly Pannek (Ice Hockey), Hayley Scamurra (Ice Hockey), Lee Stecklein (Ice Hockey), Tessa Janecke (Ice Hockey), Grace Zumwinkle (Ice Hockey), Caroline Harvey (Ice Hockey), Joy Dunne (Ice Hockey), Rory Guilday (Ice Hockey), Abigail Murphy (Ice Hockey), Gwyneth Philips (Ice Hockey) and Ilona Maher (Rugby).

The evening began with an Athlete Welcome Celebration at Park MGM, where artists from Mad Apple by Cirque du Soleil and hundreds of MGM Resorts employees greeted the athletes with patriotic fanfare before they headed to Las Vegas Boulevard for the parade.

The athletes then took center stage during a star-studded parade along Las Vegas Boulevard to Toshiba Plaza. Riding aboard double-decker buses, they received a hero's welcome from cheering fans as Flavor Flav arrived. The procession also featured the Las Vegas Aces, Las Vegas Raiders, Vegas Golden Knights, Girls on the Run Las Vegas, Las Vegas Stars Volleyball, Inspiring Children's Foundation, Museum of Ice Cream, Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Mariachi Femenil Internacional, Vegas Flag Elite, Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom and more.

At Toshiba Plaza, Commissioner Segerblom presented the athletes with Keys to the Las Vegas Strip and also surprised Flav with a special proclamation for “Flavor Flav Day.” Flav was so moved by the gesture that he cried and sincerely thanked Segerblom for his kindness. The celebration continued with a live community concert featuring Public Enemy, Blu DeTiger, Grace Bowers and surprise guests.

Following, select athletes went to MGM Live! for a private gaming experience with Flavor Flav, while others attended a fun afterparty at On The Record at Park MGM and enjoyed a surprise pop-up performance by R&B singer Montell Jordan.

The SHE Weekend excitement will continue all weekend long as the athletes experience a variety of Las Vegas nightlife, restaurants, shows, pool parties and more to celebrate their tremendous feats on the world stage, including a special soccer viewing party at Tailgate Beach Club at Mandalay Bay this Sunday.

Fans and supporters can follow along wherever they are with SHE CENTER, the official digital series for Flavor Flav's SHE Weekend, taking viewers inside the SHE Weekend celebrations. As the Official Show of Flavor Flav’s SHE Weekend, the three-episode inaugural season serves as the guide to the event, giving fans exclusive access before, during, and after the festivities in Las Vegas.
