Mississippi Gulf Coast Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker Returns to Beau Rivage Resort & Casino this Holiday Season

Tickets to the Timeless Holiday Classic on Sale Now

BILOXI, Miss. (Sept. 26, 2024) – Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is proud to partner with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Ballet Theatre for its annual presentation of The Nutcracker Ballet. The timeless classic will grace the Beau Rivage Theatre stage Sunday, Dec. 8, at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

“We strive to bring the best in classical performances to South Mississippi and to instill the love of the arts and create future fans of ballet,” said Mississippi Gulf Coast Ballet Theatre Director Elaine Kulick. “We have 150 students from around the Coast who have been working hard for many months now and are so excited to perform on the Beau Rivage stage.”

Choreographed by Lisa Hendrickson and assisted by Launa Craig, they will bring this holiday fairytale to life with stunning sets, vibrant costumes, dramatic lighting and world-renowned dancers, Reka Gyulia and Chase Swatosh. Reka is originally from Budapest Hungary. She has danced as a soloist in many ballet companies and has performed around the work. Reka Gyulia has been a finalist at the Vienna International Ballet Competition.  Chase grew up training with Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet and is now Principal Dancer at Miami City Ballet.  Originally from Havana Cuba, Lester Gonzales will be performing Spanish lead in this performance of the Nutcracker.

The coveted role of Clara will be performed by 13-year-old Danielle Harville and Beau Soboul will play the role of Drosselmeyer. Soboul has 25 years of theater experience and most recently was featured locally in Center Stage’s production of Sweeney Todd: The Barber of Fleet Street. He is ecstatic to perform alongside top-notch talent in one of his favorite Christmas classics.

Accompanying the Mississippi Gulf Coast Ballet Theatre is the Delta Festival Ballet under the direction of Joseph Giacobbe. These superb dancers will perform the Waltz of flows and Snow. This magical performance captures the hearts of the entire family while listening to the musical score of Peter Tchaikovsky.

Tickets for The Nutcracker are $19.95, $24.95, $29.95 and $39.95 plus tax and service fee and are available for purchase at the Beau Rivage Box Office, by phone at 888.566.7469 or online at www.beaurivage.com.
