Carrot Top Celebrates 18th Anniversary At Luxor Hotel And Casino And Announces Extension Through 2030

Legendary comedian also unveils winner of his logo design contest  

LAS VEGAS (November 29, 2023) – On top of celebrating his 18th anniversary at Luxor Hotel and Casino this past weekend, iconic entertainer Carrot Top announced that his contract at the property has been extended through 2030.

The longest-running headlining comedian in Las Vegas has been keeping busy this year, including a cameo appearance in the upcoming movie “Don’t Suck” starring Jamie Kennedy, Matt Rife, Ellen Hollman and Russell Peters, in theaters starting Friday, Dec. 1. 

Carrot Top also unveiled Luis Larios of Miami, Florida as the winner of the logo design contest he launched this past fall.

“I really love the logo that Luis designed, as it really captures my unique style and brand!” said Carrot Top. “I’ve always drawn most of my logos in the past, but I am so excited to have a new logo that was created by one of my fans, just in time for my 18th anniversary at Luxor. I look forward to having Luis at the show soon and meeting him in person!”

The winning design will be featured on Carrot Top's social media accounts. Luis will also receive: two $300 Allegiant travel vouchers; a two-night, three-day stay in a Tower Premium King Room at Luxor Hotel and Casino; a $150 food and beverage credit to be used at Luxor Hotel and Casino; two tickets to Carrot Top’s Las Vegas show; and a VIP meet & greet with Carrot Top.

Scott “Carrot Top” Thompson has been making audiences around the world laugh for more than three decades.  As one of the most recognizable and iconic comedic entertainers, the King of Props induces sidesplitting laughter with his current take on pop culture, music, and headlines of the day in a continually evolving show. Audience members can count on not seeing the same show twice. “I love creating props that are relevant to whatever’s current – from a news headline to a song I heard on the radio.”

Since his debut on “Star Search,” Carrot Top has soared to success. “When I started touring at the beginning of my career, I had two trunks and a strobe light,” said Carrot Top. “Things got pretty crazy pretty fast and before I knew it, I had a team touring the country in an 18-wheeler with 35 trunks full of props.” After building a following on the comedy circuit that made people laugh nearly every weekend, his first television appearance was on “Comic Strip Live” in 1991. Things changed for Carrot Top forever in 1992 with his first appearance on “The Tonight Show.” That appearance exposed his unique brand of comedy to every home in America.  After an impressive 31 appearances, Carrot Top had the distinct honor of appearing on the very last episode of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” A Las Vegas headliner for more than 25 years, Carrot Top can be seen nightly in Las Vegas or in a city near you, giving guests a spectacle worthy of most arena rock bands and features lights, music, fog machines, and streamer cannons – all in addition to his trunks full of props.
