BILOXI, Miss. (August 2026) – Grammy-award-winning artist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee Melissa Etheridge is scheduled to take the stage at Beau Rivage Theatre during her “Rise” tour stop on Sept. 19. Praised for her powerful songwriting and emotional depth, Melissa is set to highlight her 17th studio album and first collection of new material since 2019’s The Medicine Show. Rise, the new album co-produced by Etheridge and Shooter Jennings, showcases a vibrant blend of rock, Americana, and country influences while reflecting on some of the most profound experiences of her life. Her uplifting anthem “Being Alive” celebrates perseverance, gratitude, and personal growth. Her songs range from playful and empowering, such as “Don’t You Want a Woman” and “Tomboy,” to deeply reflective works, including “Call You,” written in the wake of the loss of her son, Beckett.
Created alongside her longtime band and featuring a standout collaboration with Chris Stapleton on “The Other Side of Blue,” Rise balances heartache with hope. Written during a period of reflection and renewed creativity, the album captures Etheridge’s perspective as an artist, mother, and advocate who has emerged from loss with a deeper appreciation for life. Drawing inspiration from her own personal journey over recent years, including her work with the Etheridge Foundation, her acclaimed Broadway show Melissa Etheridge: My Window, the Paramount+ docuseries I’m Not Broken, and extensive touring across North America and Europe, Etheridge embraces the idea that life’s greatest challenges can ultimately become sources of strength.
In true Melissa fashion, she pairs her powerful music with an equally as powerful message, bringing attention to causes that are close to her heart. It’s a show you don’t want to miss. Tickets range from $55 to $95 plus tax & service charge and are available at the Beau Rivage Box Office, by phone at 888.567.6667 or online at www.beaurivage.com.
