SIGNS OF HOPE ANNOUNCES GRANT FROM MGM RESORTS FOUNDATION TO SERVE THOSE IMPACTED BY HUMAN TRAFFICKING
LAS VEGAS (January 11, 2022) – Signs of HOPE, an organization formerly known as The Rape Crisis Center that provides a broad range of services for survivors of sexual violence and exploitation, is pleased to announce a $50,000 grant from MGM Resorts International. The funds will be used to support the organization’s Resources and Integration for Survivor Empowerment or R.I.S.E. program, which provides crisis response and long-term case management services to victims of all forms of human trafficking.
“We are incredibly grateful to MGM Resorts International for their generous support of our RISE program,” said Daniele Staple, executive director of Signs of HOPE. “These funds will go a long way in helping us meet the myriad needs our clients express – from travel to reunite with supportive family members, to housing and food support, to expanding our response through our ALERT hotline to include hotel security partners. This also provides a vital match to our federal funding, which is incredibly helpful to bring more resources into Nevada.”
The R.I.S.E. program model uses a victim-centered approach that includes detailed assessment of the individual’s circumstances to determine the best-suited shelter, medical, educational and therapeutic services.

Signs of HOPE launched the RISE program in early 2020 and provided services to more than 122 individuals in the first year.
