Located at the heart of The Strip, T-Mobile Arena will host Calibash Las Vegas and “Día Nacional de la Banda” in January 2019

LAS VEGAS (October 24, 2018) – After the success of the past two editions of Calibash Las Vegas, the event will return January 25 – 26, 2019 as part of the ’Morphis Weekend Latino’ (MWL), an exciting weekend of Latin American festivities in the Entertainment Capital of the World – Las Vegas.

The Morphis Weekend Latino, produced by SBS Entertainment, the event division of Spanish Broadcasting System (OTCQX: SBSAA), will be the first of the United States Latin festivities in 2019. The Las Vegas weekend will kick off Friday, Jan. 25 with “Día Nacional de la Banda,” an event featuring the most popular Mexican bands uniting for the first time to perform on one stage. The weekend will culminate with Calibash Las Vegas Saturday, Jan. 26. All events will take place at T-Mobile Arena, located at the heart of The Strip between New York-New York Hotel & Casino and Park MGM.

Tickets for the Morphis Weekend Latino, brought by LaMusica APP, go on sale Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. PT on AXS.com.

The “Día Nacional de la Banda” will feature a concept where attendees will go on a live musical history experience that will take everyone from 1848 to present day with the music of Banda El Recodo, La Arrolladora Banda El Limon, Gerardo Ortiz, Banda Los Recoditos, La Adictiva, Christian Nodal, Los Angeles Azules, Raymix and Gabby Tamez.

On Saturday, the third edition of Calibash Las Vegas will feature a retro theme from the ‘80s to present day. T-Mobile Arena will transform into a giant disco with a dance floor and VIP lounges where attendees can dance during the four-hour event to the hits of Enrique Iglesias, Bad Bunny, Wisin, Yandel, Becky G, Farruko, Larry Over, Anuel AA, Osmani Garcia and Arthur Hanlon.

SBS Entertainment also announced Toshiba Plaza will transform into the Prime Garden Festival, a pre-event celebration featuring music, food and many surprises for attendees January 25 – 26. The pre-party will run from noon until 6:00 p.m. daily.

The MWL will begin with a series of Street Party Castings where local talent will have the opportunity to be a part of the weekend. The castings will take place from November 2018 to January 2019 and Mexican bands, dancers and singers can audition to become one of the opening acts of the MWL events.

Calibash Las Vegas has had more than 30,000 fans attend over the last two years and has been the largest Latin music platform where artists including Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Maluma, Don Omar, J Balvin, Plan B, Zion and Lennox, among many others, have performed. The Morphis Weekend Latino will feature more than 22 artists on stage allowing guests to experience back-to-back events in the arena as well street party castings and much more.
