MLB and MGM Rewards Introduce Inaugural All-MLB Weekend in Las Vegas to Recognize 2023 All-MLB Teams
First All-MLB Weekend Features Social Events with Legends, Current Stars; Select MGM Rewards Members Can Participate in Additional Unique Experiences
LAS VEGAS (November 13, 2023) - Major League Baseball and MGM Rewards, MGM Resorts International’s award-winning loyalty program, today introduced All-MLB Weekend, a new multi-day offseason event to honor baseball’s best, where fans can interact with baseball legends, current stars, broadcasters and industry leaders while experiencing special amenities unique to Las Vegas. The inaugural All-MLB Weekend presented by MGM Rewards takes place in Las Vegas from December 14 – 17 and features an awards show on MLB Network with a celebratory player entrance and exclusive pre-show reception to help recognize the top performances by players during the regular season.
The selections for the All-MLB Team are the culmination of the weekend and will be announced from HyperX Arena at Luxor Hotel and Casino Saturday, December 16 on MLB Network during the “All-MLB Team Show presented by MGM Rewards” at 8:00 p.m. ET with Greg Amsinger, Lauren Shehadi, Mark DeRosa and Harold Reynolds. Fans can purchase packages to experience All-MLB Weekend with some of baseball’s biggest names at MLB.com/allmlbweekend. Select MGM Rewards members have the opportunity to enjoy elevated experiences with MLB players and legends including a charity poker tournament and golf outing at Shadow Creek, MGM Resorts’ exclusive course.
Fans account for 50% of the voting for the All-MLB Team, with a panel of experts handling the other 50%. Voting is open now until Sunday, November 19 at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can make their selections for the All-MLB Team here. Fans and panelists vote for their choices at catcher, first base, second base, third base, shortstop, three outfielders (without regard for left/center/right) and designated hitter, along with five starting pitchers and two relief pitchers on both the first and second teams. All choices are based on the 2023 regular season, without regard for American League or National League affiliation.
MLB introduced its first-ever All-MLB Team awards in 2019 to give a more comprehensive honor that covered the full breadth of a big league regular season, complementing the All-Star Game selections that are awarded just past the season’s halfway point. There are first and second teams, and voters are asked only to consider performance during the regular season when casting their ballots. For a list of previous All-MLB Team honorees, click here.
Due to the exclusive nature of All-MLB Weekend, inventory is extremely limited. Fans are encouraged to call for reservations today at 866-928-7117.
