SPRINGFIELD, MASS. (October 22, 2018) – Calling all lovers of fright, thrills and chills, MGM Springfield will host Halloween-themed events including “Flick or Treat,” a series of spooky Halloween movies on Armory Square, as well as a sinister and sexy costume party at Commonwealth Bar and Lounge.

Starting on Sunday, October 28, MGM Springfield will play four scary films outside on Armory Square, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., leading up to Halloween night.

  • Sunday, October 28 – Young Frankenstein
  • Monday, October 29 – The Book of Life
  • Tuesday, October 30 – The Rocky Horror Picture Show
  • Wednesday, October 31 – Poltergeist

These movie showings are free and open to the public. Guests should be sure to arrive early to grab a seat and snag a spine-tingling spiked apple cider or hot chocolate from Kringle Emporium.

For visitors 21 and over, Commonwealth Bar and Lounge, the energetic bar at the center of it all at MGM Springfield, will transform on Saturday, October 27 into “Wealth-O-Ween”, a sizzling party with haunting decorations and pumping beats by DJ Arianna.  Guests will have the opportunity to compete in a sexy costume contest for the chance to win $5,000 in cash prizes. The event will start at 9 p.m. and there is no cover charge to enter.

Please note: Guests are not permitted to wear full or partial masks, face coverings or any face paint while at MGM Springfield for all Halloween events. This includes being on the casino floor and throughout the property. Additionally, costumes with fake weapons will not be allowed. Visiting the casino floor in costumes and makeup after these events also will not be allowed.
