MGM Springfield offers a diverse culinary portfolio featuring food and beverage spots that are entirely new concepts to the Western Massachusetts region. From James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Mina and San Francisco’s Chef of the Year Adam Sobel, Cal Mare evokes the vibrant seaside elegance and regional cuisine of Italy’s Amalfi Coast. The restaurant celebrates the best of coastal Italian cuisine and features bountiful East Coast ingredients. Fresh seafood, handmade pastas and brick-oven pizzas are essential offerings, and specialties including charcoal grilled fish, crudos and lighter Italian bites complete the colorful menu.

The Chandler Steakhouse
The name and setting of The Chandler Steakhouse holds a special place in Springfield history. The restaurant is located in the former Union House Hotel, later renamed The Chandler Hotel. Built in 1846, it hosted many notable guests including U.S. President James K. Polk and President Buchanan. The Chandler Steakhouse invites guests to savor the finest seafood in a sophisticated-yet-modern steakhouse concept situated in the landmark location’s first level. The Chandler Steakhouse offers cuts of meat made with 100-percent Midwest Angus beef, dry aged in-house for 21 days. Signature dishes such as Northwest Salmon, Whole Steamed Lobster and Tomahawk Ribeye complete the menu alongside creative takes on classics.

TAP Sports Bar
TAP Sports Bar serves up an unparalleled entertainment experience for sports enthusiasts. Guest can enjoy live game action on HDTVs, and a massive video wall featuring 32 screens that can operate individually or as one giant image. Regional roots extend to the menu, with elevated pub fare and Springfield-inspired items including TAP’s Hall of Fame Burger, signature Wings and Reubens. Beer aficionados can appreciate the vast varietals on tap and draft at TAP’s beer garden, which also showcases local brewery partners. Situated in MGM Springfield’s bookcase-adorned Lobby, travelers and visitors alike are welcomed with imaginative cocktails, a beguiling atmosphere and personable bartenders. The inventive menu boasts cocktails inspired by classic novels and literary tales to match the venue’s library aesthetics. Such libations feature eclectic glassware, seasonal flavors and progressive recipes making Lobby Bar the epicenter of the resort’s mixology program. Partnering with regional distilleries such as Berkshire Mountain, Privateer Rum and Hartford Flavor Company, the menu also offers cocktails with an emphasis on gin.

Commonwealth Bar and Lounge
Paying homage to Springfield’s legacy, the energetic Commonwealth Bar and Lounge blends a hip atmosphere with a turn-of-the-century vibe. A stunning chandelier with intricately placed vintage photographs entices visitors to check out the space as waitresses with flapper-style uniforms serve beverages in this high-energy destination seven days a week. The progressive cocktail program features a selection of classics along with lavish, interactive cocktails including an Old-Fashioned Tableside Cart and a $25,000 Indian Motorcycle cocktail. On Friday and Saturday nights, Commonwealth amps up the weekend with curated entertainment and local DJs. When the sports seasons pick up, the bar lounge gets the ball rolling with big screens for watching the big games.
