LAS VEGAS (February 23, 2023) – Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA) is celebrating spring’s flourishing beauty with its newest exhibition, In Bloom, open through September 10. Showcasing nationally and internationally recognized artists, this collection of 30 works explores themes of rejuvenation, humanity and collective change.

LAS VEGAS – March 28, 2022 – MGM Resorts is revealing new acquisitions for its public fine art collection as it reshapes and contemporizes its offerings with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. Acquired works by Rashid Johnson, Sanford Biggers, Derrick Adams, Ghada Amer, Jonathan Lyndon Chase, Tomás Esson and Svenja Deininger are among the new talents now showcased alongside existing works by artists such as Sam Gilliam, Lorna Simpson, Nick Cave, Jenny Holzer and Nancy Rubins throughout MGM Resorts’ properties.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, 23 October 2021 – Earlier this evening, in the heart of the world famous Las Vegas Strip, Sotheby’s and MGM Resorts International the world-renowned entertainment company, hosted a special, whiteglove auction live from Bellagio, where 11 masterworks by Pablo Picasso, showcasing the artist’s entire career and the many media he explored across more than six decades of creative genius, sold for $109 million--exceeding the sale’s high estimate with 100% of the works sold.

LAS VEGAS and NEW YORK – August 11, 2021 – Coinciding with Pablo Picasso’s 140^th birthday this October, MGM Resorts and Sotheby’s will present a special, first-of-its-kind marquee Evening Sale of masterworks by the iconic artist from the MGM Resorts Fine Art Collection. The auction of works by Picasso, which will be conducted live from Bellagio on Saturday, October 23, marks the largest and most significant fine art auction to ever take place in Las Vegas, and comes as MGM Resorts reshapes its public fine art portfolio, deepening its focus on diversity and inclusion.

LAS VEGAS (December 12, 2019) – MGM Resorts Art & Culture presents a new artwork by Brooklyn-based artist Patrick Vale at Eataly Las Vegas at Park MGM. By evoking Italy’s rich history, Vale’s piece, titled Some Drawings I Made Whilst Waiting For The Agnolotti, showcases various regions as well as their exceptional food and culinary traditions.

LAS VEGAS (December 11, 2019) – Renowned Japanese calligraphist and artist Sisyu is the new resident at the Artist Studio at Bellagio. Since opening in 2018, the Artist Studio has offered guests the opportunity to observe works in progress first-hand while providing a focused, inspiring environment for artists to create new pieces.

LAS VEGAS (November 26, 2019) – MGM Resorts Art & Culture proudly continues its partnership with Art Basel in Miami Beach for the 2019 edition (Dec. 5 – 8). Presented in dialogue with the Artist Studio at Bellagio Resort & Casino and the Nova sector for the first time, the MGM Resorts Art & Culture Lounge will feature Japanese-American artist and former 2019 Artist Studio Resident Parker Ito’s new paintings and an installation by Ito that explores the intricacies of Western landscapes as they become distorted and transformed through the realm of the digital.

LAS VEGAS (August 21,2019) – MGM Resorts Art & Culture is pleased to announce a free screening of the feature-length documentary Kusama: Infinity on September 28 at 4 p.m. at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The event is presented in collaboration with Raw Femme and will be followed by a special Q&A with the film’s director Heather Lenz and Raw Femme founder Amanda 'Rawky' Lozano.

LAS VEGAS (May 23, 2019)— MGM Resorts Art & Culture, a global Associate Partner of Art Basel, will proudly debut a new series of work by Artist Studio resident Parker Ito in the MGM Resorts Lounge at the 2019 edition (June 12 – 16) of Art Basel in Basel.

LAS VEGAS – (September 25, 2015) – Tatsuo Miyajima, one of Japan’s most influential artists over the past two decades, debuted his work “HOTO” (2008) in the United States for the first time this week for an indefinite engagement at The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas. The piece previously has been on display only in Japan and China.
