MGM GRAND DETROIT WELCOMES NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Industry veteran will oversee financial management at MGM Grand Detroit and MGM Northfield Park
DETROIT – MGM Resorts International is proud to announce Mark Strawn has been named Chief Financial Officer, Midwest Group. In this role, he will partner with property leaders at MGM Grand Detroit and MGM Northfield Park in Ohio to set financial policies and drive strategy, as well as key operational and strategic initiatives. Mark will lead the properties’ financial management, including financial projections, capital and operating budgetary planning, cash flow management, revenue/expense trends analysis, and operational and gaming regulation compliance.

Mark brings over two decades of financial leadership and expertise to the Midwest Group. Most recently, Mark served as Senior Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis for MGM Resorts in Las Vegas, where he led a 25-person team responsible for all strategic, operational, labor, capital budgeting, forecasting, competitive benchmarking, and opportunity analysis for the entire property portfolio, in addition to over 250 corporate departments. Prior to his MGM Resorts corporate FP&A experience, Mark previously served as Chief Administrative Officer for MGM Resorts Design & Development.
Before joining MGM Resorts, Mark served in leadership roles in Las Vegas and New York, including as Vice President of Corporate Finance at Wynn Resorts, Executive Director of Equity Research at Morgan Stanley, and Vice President of Finance at Las Vegas Sands Corp. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor).
