MGM GRAND DETROIT EMPLOYEES STEP UP TO FIGHT HUNGER AND FOOD INSECURITY
DETROIT (Feb. 27, 2023) – MGM Grand Detroit employees headed to Forgotten Harvest for a day of packing emergency food boxes and re-packing and sorting fresh nutritious food that will be distributed through Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb County.
MGM Grand Detroit employees packed 2,864 pounds of meat and more than 1,500 boxes of nutritious food.
Forgotten Harvest delivers 144,000 pounds of surplus food per day to local charities five days a week, providing families in need with fresh and nutritious food free of charge.
MGM Grand Detroit employees were shuttled to Forgotten Harvest’s Oak Park headquarters in two shifts (one morning and one afternoon shift) and in addition to packing food boxes they also helped with general warehouse needs.
