LAS VEGAS, NV (Feb. 22, 2019) – MGM COTAI, one of MGM Resort International’s newest integrated resort destinations in Macau, China, will be featured in the final three episodes of Bravo’s Top Chef, Season 16 airing Thursday, February 28 and March 7 at 8 pm, with a special 90-minute season finale on March 14 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. During this season of the Emmy Award-winning series, contestants traveled to Kentucky to compete in a variety of culinary challenges throughout the state, making stops in Louisville, Lexington and Lake Cumberland. For the final three episodes, the remaining cheftestants journey overseas to the region of Macau in China, a destination with a rich and unique culinary history of Chinese and Portuguese cultures. There they will battle it out in an epic showdown where one winner is crowned the champion.

The season finale episodes will include:

  • MGM COTAI’s luxurious SKYLOFTS, where the cast was hosted and treated to a variety of VIP experiences;

  • Quickfire challenges in the resort’s Vista, a spacious meetings and events room which overlooks the resort’s stunning reflective pool; and MGM MACAU’s Grand Ballroom;  

  • Elimination challenges onstage at MGM Theater, Asia’s first dynamic theater with the world’s largest indoor LED screen, and in Top Chef host Graham Eliott’s Coast restaurant;

  • A final judges’ table at Five Foot Road, MGM COTAI’s exquisite Sichuan restaurant, where the season’s winner will be announced;

  • Culinary challenges filmed throughout Macau’s top sightseeing destinations including Red Market, Macau Tower and Restaurante Litoral;   

  • Star-studded talent on the three-part finale include the show’s host Padma Lakshimi, head judge Tom Colicchio of Craftsteak at MGM Grand and Heritage Steak at The Mirage; judge Graham Elliot of Coast Restaurant at MGM Cotai; judge Nilou Motamed, chef Mitsuharu Tsumura of Aji at MGM Cotai, along with Jowett Yu, Abe Conlon, Alexander Smalls, Dan Hong, May Chow, Alvin Leung and FOOD & WINE Magazine Deputy Editor Melanie Hansche.
