League Expands Regular Season from 34 to 36 Games

Olympic Break Slated for July 11 - August 15

Las Vegas (January 16, 2020)—The WNBA released its 2020 schedule today, and the Las Vegas Aces begin pursuit of their first league championship on Sunday, May 17 with a 3:00 pm PT home tilt against the Dallas Wings at Mandalay Bay Events Center.

The league expanded its regular season from 34 to 36 games, and will break for the Olympics from July 11 through August 15. The final day of the regular season is Sunday, September 20.

With the expanded schedule, the Aces play each team three times, save for the Dallas Wings, Minnesota Lynx, and Seattle Storm, whom they play four times each.

ESPN networks will present 17 WNBA regular season telecasts in 2020, including five games on ABC—up from three last season. ESPN will televise two regular season games, and ESPN2 will air 10. ESPN networks will also present up to 19 playoff games. All ESPN telecasts during the regular season and postseason will stream live on the ESPN app.

Three of the Aces games this season are being televised nationally on the ESPN family of networks—Saturday June 6 at home vs. Phoenix (12:00 pm PT); Tuesday, June 16 at Los Angeles (7:00 pm); and Saturday, June 27 vs. Chicago (1:00 pm).

Las Vegas gets its first crack at the 2019 WNBA Champion Washington Mystics on the road, Friday, July 21 at 4:00 pm. In addition, the Aces host the Mystics on Tuesday, September 1 (7:00 pm), and travel once again to our nation’s capital on Friday, September 18 (4:00 pm).

The first rematch between Las Vegas and Chicago since the Hamby Heave sent the Aces into the WNBA Semifinals is in the Windy City on Sunday, May 24 at 3:00 pm.
