BILOXI, Miss. – The Main Event of Beau Rivage’s Million Dollar Heater ended in a three-way chop with chip-leader Kooroush Ghaedi from New Orleans, La. declared winner. The tournament’s Main Event saw 1,074 poker players from around the country competing for their share of the $1,127,700 prize pool, with Ghaedi, Brock Gary and Jeremy Eyer each taking home $144,384.

“We welcomed 8,317 poker players and paid more than $4 million in prize money during this year’s Million Dollar Heater,” said Beau Rivage Poker Room Manager Adam Nash. “The record-breaking tournament continues to prove itself as the premier poker event in the South.”

The highly anticipated 10th annual Million Dollar Heater opened on Jan. 5 and broke all previous tournament records with 3,870 players, the single largest tournament in Mississippi history. Players competed for a prize pool of $1,238,400 and Pensacola’s Benjamin Bell took home top honors and the first place prize of $163,425.

Eleven tournament events with entry fees ranging from $120 to $1,200 took place over 12 action-packed days. Event winners include:
