BILOXI, MISS. – Pop, Motown and R&B legends The Commodores return to Biloxi, bringing their Grammy-winning sound to Beau Rivage Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 8 p.m.
The Commodores were Motown’s largest selling act throughout the 70s and 80s, racking up numerous No. 1 hits including “Machine Gun,” “Brick House,” “Sail On,” and others that influenced artists and fans across generations. One of the most successful vocal groups of all time, The Commodores continue to thrill audiences worldwide with performances of their classic hits.
For decades, the group has remained icons in the music industry. Formed in 1968 at Tuskegee Institute, The Commodores quickly made a name for themselves, catching the eye of famed record executive Berry Gordy. The group went on to sell over 60 million records for Motown. To date, The Commodores have sold 75 million albums worldwide, hold 20 Top 10 singles and 15 Top 10 albums, received nine Grammy nominations and were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
