DETROIT – The AXIS Lounge at MGM Grand Detroit has launched their first series of ‘Dueling Pianos’ interactive performances, the newest addition to the lounge’s weekly live entertainment roster, taking center-stage every Thursday night from 8 p.m. to midnight. With its combination of audience participation and top-class entertainers at the keyboards, the Dueling Pianos experience is never the same show twice, and audiences are encouraged to bring their suggestions to the floor to make each evening’s playlist the centerpiece of a unique entertainment experience.

Keeping the party going through the weekend, AXIS Lounge is also launching their “Rewind” series, a retro dance party every Friday and Saturday night from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., featuring pop hits and deep cuts from the ‘80s, 90’s and 2000s. 

AXIS Lounge, MGM Grand Detroit’s signature cocktail lounge and entertainment venue, is located at the center of the main casino floor, with reserved couch and table-seating available for small groups and large parties, based on availability. Bar seating and walk-in guests are welcome, but reservations are highly encouraged.

AXIS Lounge is open seven days a week, and features an eclectic wine program, with bottle service available, as well as a curated selection of beers and spirits. For guests hoping to add a memorable meal to their evening’s entertainment, MGM Grand Detroit’s main casino floor is home to a variety of dining options, whether it’s hand-crafted pub favorites in a bar & grill atmosphere at TAP, or a full-service fine-dining experience curated by MGM Grand Detroit’s world-class culinary staff at D.PRIME Steakhouse (Reservations at D.PRIME are highly encouraged).

There is no admission fee for performances and events at AXIS Lounge, and secure self-parking is free for guests of all MGM Grand Detroit’s onsite venues. All attendees must be 21 and over and will be required to provide identification upon entry to the casino. All restaurants and entertainment venues at MGM Grand Detroit include handicap-accessible facilities.
