LAS VEGAS (Feb. 11, 2020) – Get ready to don your kilt and paint the town green as The Strip’s largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Celtic Feis, returns to New York-New York Hotel & Casino March 13 – 17. The popular Irish festival has been extended to five-days this year and will include two parades, live music and entertainment, traditional Irish Fare from Nine Fine Irishmen and more. Access to the Brooklyn Bridge festival area will be free and open to the public Friday through Monday. Tickets for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Tuesday, March 17, start at $15, with an Ultimate Irish Food & Drink Package starting at $75, and will be available online for pre-purchase and onsite day-of; all cover charge purchases are subject to applicable tax and fees. The weekend festivities kick off Friday, March 13, at 3 p.m. with a foot parade led by a traditional Irish pipe band starting at Bliss Dance at The Park and continuing through the property before concluding at the celebration headquarters on the Brooklyn Bridge. Following the opening ceremonies, New York-New York President and COO Cynthia Kiser Murphey will announce the 2020 inductees into Nine Fine Irishmen’s famous “Wall of Fine,” recognizing people who have had a positive impact to our pub, the company, the community and who’ve gone above and beyond throughout the year. Live entertainment will continue on the bridge through midnight and will resume each day at 5 p.m. Saturday-Monday.
The official St. Patrick’s Day celebration will kick into high gear beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, with a traditional Irish pipe band leading a parade from Bliss Dance at The Park, through New York-New York and to the Brooklyn Bridge, followed by a Guinness toast to mark the start of the day’s revelries. The parade is complimentary and open to guests of all ages.
From 9:30 a.m. – 2 a.m., the Brooklyn Bridge will be open to ticketed guests 21 years and older and will feature live music and entertainment, activities, and plenty of food and drinks throughout the day. The festival area will also serve as a high-energy watch zone to cheer on the Vegas Golden Knights as they take on the Dallas Stars. General admission tickets start at $15 plus tax and fees. The Ultimate Irish Food & Drink Package, starting at $75 plus tax and fees, includes a punch card that’s good for 5 alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks and one food item from participating restaurant vendors.
Nine Fine Irishmen will serve its traditional Irish fare from 10 a.m. – 11 p.m., featuring signature dishes such as beer n’ cheese dip, shepherd’s pie, Irish bangers, corned beef and cabbage, and more. Several local bands will take the stage to keep spirits high throughout the day with live music – Sin E Ri Ra will jumpstart the celebration at 10 a.m., with Sheleighleys at 2:30 p.m., and Phoenix at 7:30 p.m. For more information, visit newyorknewyork.com.
