Runner-friendly dining, spa specials and live entertainment offered to guests

BILOXI, Miss. – Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is proud to be the official host hotel and host resort casino of the 2019 Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon, Dec. 13-15, 2019, where race participants can stay, play, run and release with a variety of runner-friendly entrees, spa specials and live entertainment.

MGM Resorts International Beau Rivage Resort & Casino has partnered with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon since its founding in 2016. The annual Coastal Running Fest features four distance races, including a marathon (26.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), 5K (3.1 miles) and kids marathon (a 1.2 mile fun run). Last year’s race drew more than 9,000 runners, volunteers and spectators to Coastal Mississippi from 42 states and five countries.

Live entertainment takes the stage at Beau Rivage Theatre nightly during marathon weekend, starting with Christmas with Aaron Neville on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 12 and 13, and the debut of Beau Rivage’s holiday production show Christmas in the Air on Saturday and Sunday.  In EIGHT75, Anderson Domingues performs from 3 – 8 p.m. on Friday, followed by Triggerproof from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. both Friday and Saturday.

The Spa at Beau Rivage is an ideal setting for pre- and post-race relaxation, offering two specials, including the Marathon Runner Massage, which includes a full body Swedish-style massage. The Marathon Custom Massage is the ultimate massage experience, tailor-fit to meet specific needs from massage pressure to location and includes two enhancements such as Warm Himalayan Salt Stones and Fire and Ice to warm focus areas and provide cooling relief. Runners showing their race bib receive an insulated water bottle with any spa service, while supplies last.

Runner-friendly dining specials are offered throughout race weekend at Beau Rivage’s award-winning restaurants. Authentic Italian cuisine is featured at Stalla with freshly made Pasta Ravioli, Homemade Lasagna Bolognese, delicious Chicken Parmigiana, Shrimp Scampi and other favorites. At Jia, marathon participants can enjoy a Bone-in Tomahawk Special for Two plus traditional sushi and teppanyaki menu offerings.  Terrace Café will offer a marathon Shrimp Scampi special, and The Roasted Bean will provide the Marathon Power Pack, which includes Fresh Cut Fruit, Banana Nut Bread, Yoplait Mixed Berry Yogurt and Powerade.  

At The Buffet, indulge pre-race in the Biloxi Seafood Festival Gumbo Grand Champion and The Sun Herald’s People’s Choice Award-winning Beau Rivage Gumbo as well as other seafood selections and live action stations. Sunday Brunch features Mimosas, Bloody Marys from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., as well as omelets and pasta made-to-order.

After the race, celebrate with a pizza or made-to-order sandwich at Snacks, or catch up on all the football action in TAP Book, Bar & Bistreaux. Relax while enjoying more than 15 beers on tap and more than 40 handcrafted bottled beer selections, signature drink options and adult milkshakes along with the award-winning Landmass Burger, wings, nachos, pizzas and sandwiches, or unwind at Black Clover Lounge and Topgolf Swing Suite with signature cocktails, flatbreads, wings and sliders while playing simulated games in the bays or watching the action on the gridiron.

The three-day running festival, culminating with a beachfront marathon that begins in Pass Christian and winds along Highway 90 to Biloxi, is a true celebration of running and Mississippi Gulf Coast culture. Runners can expect to explore quaint coastal towns on foot, shaded by historic oak trees and ending with a finish festival at MGM Park, featuring local cuisine and live music. 


Founded in 2015, The Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon, a Coastal Running Fest, will be held December 13-15, 2019, to celebrate the local flare and beauty of running along the scenic beaches spanning Pass Christian to Biloxi. Races include a marathon (26.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), 5K (3.1 miles), and kids marathon race program (a 1.2 mile fun run). The weekend kicks off Friday, December 13, at 11 am until 7 pm, with packet pick up Runner Village at MGM Park. On Saturday, December 14, the Margaritaville 5K, the Chevron Kids Marathon and Kids 5K starts off at 8 am, followed by a post-race party at Point Cadet Plaza, and the packet pick up reopens from 11 am until 5 pm. On Sunday morning, December 15, the marathon starts in Pass Christian and half marathon starts in Gulfport at 7 am. The Coors Light Finish Festival at MGM Park, a post-race party offering local seafood, Mississippi-style barbeque begins when runners cross the finish line as early as 8:15 am and continues until 2 pm. For more information, and to register, visit
