BILOXI, Miss. – Beau Rivage Resort & Casino invites Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon participants and running enthusiasts to stay, play, relax and recover at the property after crossing the finish line. As the presenting sponsor and official host hotel and resort casino of the 2023 running festival, Dec. 8-10, MGM Resorts International’s Beau Rivage offers luxurious accommodations, and a variety of runner-friendly offerings and specials for participants.

Thousands of runners, volunteers and spectators to are drawn to Coastal Mississippi by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon each year, with last year’s crowd representing 47 states and four countries. The Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon features four distance races, including a marathon (26.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), 5K (3.1 miles) and kids marathon (1 mile).
Live entertainment takes the stage at Beau Rivage Theatre nightly during marathon weekend, starting with LeAnn Rimes presenting JOY: The Holiday Tour on Friday, Dec. 8, and comedian Tom Segura on Saturday, Dec. 9. In Black Clover Lounge, Brandon Green performs a set as part of the Unplugged Friday series from 6-10 p.m., while at EIGHT75, local favorite Triggerproof performs from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. both Friday and Saturday.
For those looking for pre- or post-race relaxation, The Spa at Beau Rivage offers a variety of services including a Custom Massage, an Athlete’s Massage and the CBD Restore Massage. Runner-friendly dining options are offered throughout race weekend at Beau Rivage’s award-winning restaurants. On race days, The Roasted Bean and Roasted Bean Coffee Cart will offer the Gulf Coast Marathon Power Pack, with fresh cut fruit, banana nut bread, Yoplait mixed berry yogurt and Powerade. The coffee cart will be available before and after races offering items needed to fuel a run such as fresh cut fruit, bananas,
yogurt & yogurt parfaits, pastries, Danishes, Powerade, water, Red Bull and more.
Races begin on Saturday morning, Dec. 9 at 8 a.m. with a 5K race, beginning in Ocean Springs and finishing at Margaritaville Resort. The Kid’s Marathon follows at 9:30 a.m. The 1-mile race will start and finish at the Margaritaville Resort. The running festival culminates on Sunday, Dec. 10 with a USATF Boston Qualifier beachfront marathon that begins at 7 a.m. in historic Pass Christian and winds along Highway 90 Beach Blvd. to Biloxi, in a true celebration of running and Coastal Mississippi culture. Runners in both the marathon and half marathon, which starts at Gulfport’s Jones Park, will experience unobstructed beach views, quaint coastal towns and some of the region’s most beautiful homes before crossing the line at MGM Park’s Finish Festival, featuring music and local cuisine.
