About Alejandro Fernández
The multiple GRAMMY winner and son of the legendary Vicente Fernández has conquered stages all around the world with his personal interpretation of Mexican music. He has sold more than 35 million records worldwide and won countless awards and nominations. Alejandro is the first act to achieve No. 1s on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums in the 1990s, ‘00s, ‘10s and ‘20s.
Alejandro Fernández’s ‘Hecho En México Edición Especial,’ the deluxe edition of his latest album, is available now including three new songs: “No Prenderé La Luz,” “Ibas de salida” and his new single, the mariachi version of his classic “No Lo Beses.”
‘Hecho En México Edición Especial’ is a special extended edition of ‘Hecho En México,’ Fernández’s 100% mariachi album which garnered Alejandro the Latin GRAMMY for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album as well as a GRAMMY nomination for Best Regional Mexican Music Album. Additionally, the album debuted as the #1 Latin Album and Regional Mexican album on Billboard charts in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, as well as the #1 best-selling album in Mexico, the artist’s 7th album to achieve this feat. To date, Hecho en México has earned four consecutive #1 singles at radio in the United States and Mexico and was recognized among the Top 50 Albums of 2020 by Billboard Magazine.
Determined to use his fame to benefit those in need, Alejandro has been active in social causes during these difficult times. In October 2020 he launched (along with a coalition of artists) the "Vota Por Nosotros" (Vote For Us) get-out-the-vote campaign airing on Estrella Media, encouraging Latino voters to vote in the November 3rd elections. In November 2020, Alejandro dedicated his Latin GRAMMY award to the victims of the hurricanes in southern Mexico and donated MXN $1,000,000.00 to the Mexican Red Cross to aid with the relief efforts. In January 2021, Alejandro joined Mana’s Fher Olvera as the face of the “We Are Home” campaign calling for a fair and dignified immigration policy for the millions of Latino immigrants living in the U.S. Most recently Alejandro and Fher teamed up again, this time with Dr. Anthony Fauci, in support of US President Joe Biden’s “Month of Action” to encourage vaccination among Latinos.
