DETROIT, October 30, 2014 – Friday, November 7, celebrated chef Wolfgang Puck will host two special events at his MGM Grand Detroit restaurants, Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina and Wolfgang Puck Steak. 
“I always enjoy visiting Detroit and welcoming guests to my restaurants,” said Wolfgang Puck. “It’s fun to see familiar faces and hopefully this Friday, I’ll see some new faces at the restaurants!”
From 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m., Wolfgang will autograph copies of his recently launched cookbook, “Wolfgang Puck Makes it Healthy” on the patio outside Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina.  The new book is priced at $30 and shares Puck’s healthy take on his classic recipes along with easy exercise moves designed to help readers lose weight and gain energy.  The book signing is only available during the event with book purchase.
Later that evening, Wolfgang Puck Steak will offer a five-course, prix-fixe menu from
5 p.m. - 11 p.m.  The cost is $150 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuity), $200 with optional wine pairing, and will include an autographed copy of Wolfgang’s new book plus the opportunity to meet and interact with Chef Puck. The five-course menu is as follows:
  • Amuse – Roasted Baby Potato with crème fraiche and American sturgeon caviar
  • First – Maine Lobster Cocktail with endive, avocado, tarragon and meyer lemon aioli
  • Second – Celery Root Agnolotti with perigord black truffles and petite celery greens
  • Main – Wagyu Beef Duo: Grilled NY Strip with confit black garlic and Matsutake mushrooms; Braised Short Rib with potato puree and smoked tomato chutney
  • Dessert – Caramel Cheesecake with brown butter fuji apple, spice bread and vanilla ice cream
Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina offers guests a warm and inviting atmosphere in a comfortable setting.  The approachable Italian menu features Puck’s famed wood-oven baked pizzas, house made pastas, and specialty Italian dishes including comfort foods such as Lasagna, Fettuccini Alfredo and Penne Carbonara.
Wolfgang Puck Steak, which Puck created specifically for MGM Grand Detroit, offers guests steakhouse favorites including an assortment of grilled steaks, meats and seafood and a selection of sauces and side dishes.
Both restaurants, which opened in late 2012 and are led by Executive Chef Jacob Williamson, were honored by Wine Spectator Magazine this year for their impressive wine lists.
