MGM Springfield to Deliver Modern Meeting & Event Spaces at New Integrated Resort

Flexible Venues, Natural Light and Beautiful Indoor-Outdoor Event Options in New England

LAS VEGAS (July 12, 2018) – Opening August 24, 2018, MGM Springfield will be the newest destination for groups seeking the best amenities and hospitality in the New England area.

“In designing MGM Springfield, we had a mission to create a luxury meetings experience that would be unique, not only to Springfield, but to the entire region,” said Michael Dominguez, MGM Resorts International’s Chief Sales Officer. “We’ve taken best practices from MGM Resorts’ properties around the world and introduced them here, with a focus on delivering spaces that inspire collaboration, interaction and productivity.”

With approximately 34,000 square feet of versatile space, MGM Springfield’s meeting and event center will feature ballrooms, meeting rooms and boardrooms adjacent to a 6,200-square-foot outdoor terrace that will flood pre-function areas with natural light.

All meeting spaces will incorporate sister property names highlighting the resort’s connection to other top destinations around the country: the 10,600-square-foot ARIA Ballroom; 5,600-square-foot Bellagio Ballroom; 1,000-square-foot Borgata Meeting Room; and the 1,000-square-foot Beau Rivage Boardroom. For larger groups, the nearby MassMutual Center, operated by MGM Springfield, offers 100,000 square feet of large-scale event space.

Appealing to the ever-changing needs and preferences of meeting planners, MGM Springfield will feature high-tech and adaptable meeting areas with multiple configuration options.
Running the entire length of the meeting space, The Terrace will overlook the resort’s Armory Square, delivering incredible views of the city’s iconic 19th century United States National Guard Armory. The pool deck; dining outlets such as Cal Mare, The Chandler Steakhouse and TAP Sports Bar – including its 10-lane bowling alley and arcade; Regal Cinemas complex; and Topgolf® Swing Suite also will be available for private events.

The resort’s talented catering team will create food and beverage experiences to enhance any occasion, from popular regional cuisine with locally sourced ingredients to the finest international fare.
Customizable wedding packages also will be available for elegant receptions ranging from formal sit-down dinners to upscale buffets. Each package will include a complimentary tasting, wedding night accommodations at MGM Springfield and a dedicated events professional for the couple to ensure all on-site details are handled.

In addition to the wedding reception, MGM Springfield’s on-site professionals will assist with pre-wedding activities such as bachelor and bachelorette parties, makeup appointments at the salon, a much-needed massage at the spa, barber services and more.  

After a day of festivities, guests will be able to experience all the amenities MGM Springfield has to offer:

  • Accommodations: MGM Springfield’s six-story hotel will be a whimsical yet sophisticated retreat. Design details—including factory-style paned glass and Edison bulb fixtures—will harken to Springfield’s industrial roots, while eclectic artwork will evoke the locale’s creative iconography, visually referencing Dr. Seuss, Emily Dickinson and Merriam-Webster Dictionary. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology will be standard throughout all rooms, enabling guests to conveniently stay connected.
  • Open-Air Plaza: Inspired by the classic New England town common, MGM Springfield will feature The Plaza, a lively outdoor space highlighted by The Armory. The historic arsenal will offer a remarkable backdrop for the open-air plaza, which will feature live events, local artisans, farmers markets and seasonal programming including an outdoor ice rink.
  • Dining: MGM Springfield will offer an array of new-to-market food and beverage experiences, including Cal Mare by James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Mina  and Chef Adam Sobel, fine steaks and seafood at The Chandler Steakhouse with Hell’s Kitchen season 14 winner Meghan Gill serving as executive chef, MGM's signature TAP Sports Bar, the bustling South End Market, and multiple bars and lounges.
  • Entertainment: Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of entertainment options at MGM Springfield, including a 125,000-square-foot casino, Topgolf® Swing Suite, an eight-screen Regal Cinemas complex, the 10-lane bowling center within TAP Sports Bar, a serene spa, and an 8,000-square-foot pool situated within a terraced rooftop garden.
Located just 80 miles west of Boston with immediate access to Interstate 91 and the Mass.
