Cal Mare

Award-winning chefs Adam Sobel and Michael Mina have partnered to bring their culinary vision to Massachusetts. Pairing fresh New England seafood with flavors of Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Cal Mare’s menu focuses on premium ingredients and simple preparations, ranging from rustic handmade pastas and brick-oven pizzas to whole grilled fish and more. The Chandler Steakhouse

Helmed by “Hell’s Kitchen” season 14 winner Meghan Gill, The Chandler Steakhouse invites guests to savor the finest steak and seafood in this sophisticated steakhouse. Guests can watch their food be prepared on an open mesquite charcoal broiler through a glass-walled kitchen serving signature dishes such as northwest salmon, whole steamed lobster or a tomahawk ribeye. Before or after a meal, visitors are invited to grab a cocktail in The Chandler’s chic bar and lounge, where a curated mixology program entices revelers with creative libations. South End Market

Adding a gourmet twist to the classic food hall, the bustling South End Market features a variety of quick-casual dining spots that deliver big on quality and convenience.

South End Market includes:

 

  • Wicked Noodles

Wicked Noodles delivers delicious and traditional Thai cuisine, including items such as Pad Thai served with steamed bean sprouts, toasted peanuts, bok choy and more. Guests also can enjoy Steamed Pork Buns, Vegetable Lo Mein and Dan Dan Noodles to satisfy palates.

  • Jack’s Lobster Shack

Bringing the authentic flavors of the Atlantic, Jack’s Lobster Shack cooks up enjoyable seaside selections. Inspired by the deep waters of the coast, the layout includes an intricate installation of used fishing buoys. Menu items range from original Lobster Rolls slathered with butter slaw and house pickles, to Clam Chowder, Lobster Grilled Cheese and Fried Clam Cakes.

  • Bill’s Diner

Mirroring vintage country general stores, this classic lunch counter captures the essence of American cooking with homemade flair. All-day breakfast attracts morning food lovers with Buttermilk Pancakes; cooked with griddled onions, swiss, mustard; and the American Breakfast featuring two eggs, home fries, toast and choice of bacon, sausage, or kielbasa. Additionally, the menu offers sandwiches, soups, salads and daily blue-plate specials.

  • Hearth Grill

Hearth’s large open cooking grill acts as a “fireplace” and guests can select items displayed on a butcher block counter top, evoking old New England kitchens. The pay-by-the-pound format features soups, salads, rotisserie and vegetables items including Brisket Chili, Curried Cauliflower tossed in golden raisins and almonds, and Quinoa Salad with toasted farro, cucumber, chickpea, arugula and roasted veggies.

  • Wine & Cheese

This contemporary wine and cheese bar features seasonal cheeses paired with charcuterie from the notable New England Charcuterie, a local curing company that merges Old World meat traditions and modern technology for a quality taste. An array of wine tasting options, including flights and large pours, are available to complement the tasty bites.

  • Gelato & Expresso Counter 

Patrons can relax with a cup of coffee by LAMILL Coffee, the award-winning specialty coffee roaster based in Los Angeles and partner of MGM Resorts International. MGM Springfield offers its own custom blend, as well as pastries, sandwiches and gelato made in house.

TAP Sports Bar

TAP serves as the ultimate sports hub offering delicious Springfield-inspired menu items ranging from TAP’s Hall of Fame Burger, to signature wings and Reubens. Beer aficionados will appreciate the vast selection of beer on tap including selections from local brewery partners. With more than 50 big screen TVs – including one massive video wall – there won’t be a more entertaining place to catch the game (besides being at the game itself). Guests enjoy a lively, open connection between the bar and dining areas with access to the adjoining arcade and bowling alley.

The place to gather for after-work socializing, a drink before dinner or to kick-start a staycation.  To match the lobby’s library aesthetic, Lobby Bar’s innovative cocktail program offers drinks inspired by literary tales such as the Tequila Mockingbird, Fahrenheit 451, The Polar Express and more.

The Knox Bar

Setting the new gold standard for gaming lounges, the mixology destination’s elevated cocktail list is on par with its high-roller gaming offerings. CityBlock Concerts

Dates: Thursdays, October 4, 11, 18

Time: 8 p.m.

 

This fall, the Springfield Business Improvement District and MGM Springfield are bringing back the outdoor CityBlock Concert Series, held on Thursday nights. The weekly concert series will feature performances from Jeff Pitchell, Michelle Brooks-Thompson, Trailer Trash and more. Beer and wine will be available and NOSH Café will serve up a variety of bites.

Biketoberfest

Dates: October 6 & 7

MGM Springfield will host its first two-day motorcycle show on The Plaza, presented by Indian Motorcycle of Springfield. Guests can enjoy food and beverages while looking at the beauty of the bikes. All bikes, no matter the make or model, are welcome.

Dueling Pianos

Springfield Thunderbirds Pregame Block Party

To kick off the hockey season, the Springfield Thunderbirds will host their free pregame block party, presented by Community Bank, on The Plaza at MGM Springfield. The block party will feature live music, face painting, balloon artists, lawn games, a Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ food truck and a red-carpet introduction of the entire Thunderbirds team.

WMAS Halloween Ball

Symphony Hall is home to many speakers, concerts and performances including the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, The Springfield Public Forum and public and private graduation ceremonies for the Springfield public schools and surrounding communities.

 

Springfield Public Forum Speaker Series

The Springfield Public Forum presents their annual “Speaker Series,” a free event open to the public where speakers provide an insider’s perspective on the most pressing issues we face as a country and as a people.

 

October’s theme is “The Future of Diplomacy,” featuring Ambassador Nicholas Burns, whose distinguished career as a diplomat, serving under both Democratic and Republican Presidents, offers a bipartisan view of foreign and security affairs and global trends today.

UFC 229: Khabib vs. McGregor Viewing Party

Guests will have the opportunity to watch UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov defend his title against former two-division champ Conor McGregor at MGM Springfield’s Commonwealth Bar and Lounge. Public Art

The public art program at MGM Springfield demonstrates MGM Resort International’s ongoing commitment to local and regional artists and artisans in the Springfield, greater Berkshires and New England areas; while also reflecting the national and international breadth of the company’s fine art catalog. MGM Springfield showcases commissioned and procured works, all on public display, by visionary local and international sculptors, photographers and mixed-media artists, including Mia Pearlman, Jeppe Hein, Springfield native Marlon Seymour and more.

The Spa at MGM Springfield

The Spa at MGM Springfield offers seven treatment rooms including one couples room as well as men’s and women’s locker rooms equipped with steam rooms and relaxation areas.
