More Shows Hit the Stage this Summer at the Historic Venue

SPRINGFIELD, MASS. (June 3, 2019) – MGM Springfield is pleased to announce the addition of two popular entertainment acts coming to downtown Springfield later this summer at Symphony Hall – comedian Rodney Carrington on Friday, Aug. 2 at 8 p.m. and R&B vocal group Boyz II Men on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m.

Rodney Carrington
Rodney Carrington is a multi-talented comedian, actor and writer who has recorded eight major record label comedy albums and sold over three million copies. Morning Wood has been certified gold and Greatest Hits has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Carrington starred in his own TV sitcom “Rodney,” which ran for two seasons on ABC. He co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film “Beer for My Horses.” In 2011, Carrington partnered with the American Country Awards by presenting at their awards show and hosted the American Country New Year’s Eve Live show on FOX. According to Pollstar, he has been one of the Top 10 highest- grossing touring comedians for the last 10 years and among the top four or five over the last several years. He is on track to be in the Top Five again in 2019. He regularly performs to sold out crowds across the U.S. and Canada.

Tickets starting at $35.50 will go on sale to the general public Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. EST.

Boys II Men
The award-winning vocal group, Boyz II Men, known for many classic R&B hits including “Motownphilly,” “I’ll Make Love to You” and “End of The Road,” holds the distinction of being the all-time best-selling R&B group, having sold more than 64 million albums worldwide. Formed in 1990, the trio featuring baritone Nathan Morris alongside tenors Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman, has redefined R&B with smooth harmonies and timeless themes.

Tickets starting at $55 will go on sale to the general public Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. EST.
