Rise Against Added to the Lineup for Rock In Rio USA Taking Place May 2015 in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (November 10, 2014) – Rock in Rio has announced Rise Against will perform on the Main Stage during the first weekend of Rock in Rio USA, taking place in Las Vegas on May 8-9 and 15-16, 2015. The Chicago punk rock band will appear on May 9, the same date as previously announced Main Stage performers Metallica and Linkin Park.


Rock In Rio USA Presents Rock Street

Las Vegas, NV– October 28, 2014 – Rock in Rio, the legendary music festival, unveiled today Rock Street´s magical setting – three thematic streets that will be featured inside the City of Rock in Las Vegas  capturing the culture and sounds of Brazil, the UK and USA. In an event that took place on the grounds of the future City of Rock on the Las Vegas Strip, dozens of artists, performers and street artists filled the location, to give a sneak peek of the unique experience that audiences will enjoy at Rock in Rio USA. Rock in Rio also announced the addition of Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran who will play on the Main Stage in May, as well as Joss Stone who will perform on the Sunset Stage.

NEW YORK, NY– September 26, 2014 - Rock in Rio, the legendary music festival, has announced Metallica, Linkin Park, Taylor Swift, No Doubt (who attended the announcement), Deftones and John Legend as part of the initial lineup for its first stateside edition taking place May 8-9 and May 15-16 in Las Vegas. The announcement was unveiled as Rio de Janeiro and Las Vegas met in Times Square, the crossroads of the world, with an exciting surprise performance from past Rock in Rio artists John Mayer and Sepultura with Les Tambours Du Bronx to celebrate the festival’s 30th anniversary and first US edition in 2015. Sepultura and Les Tambour Du Bronx performed in honor of their past Rock in Rio collaboration and guitar hero John Mayer took the stage to bring hits like “No Such Thing” and “Gravity” to the gathered crowd. During the press conference, the organization also launched its Social Project “30 years, Many Dreams."
