MGM National Harbor Partners with Skincare Leader Clarins to Bring Unparalleled Spa Experience to Capital Region

NATIONAL HARBOR (November 29, 2016)  Creating a new standard for the luxury spa experience in the Capital Region, MGM National Harbor has partnered with globally revered skincare brand Clarins on the resort’s luxurious spa.

An expansive menu of massages, facials and body treatments has been exclusively designed by Clarins, renowned for its in-depth research and botanically rich products. Treatments combine the “Clarins Touch”—a specialized and skillful massage—with the purest plant extracts and aromatic essential oils that create a blissful sensory experience and visible results. Select signature treatments are offered exclusively at MGM National Harbor and a variety of Clarins products, usually reserved for online sales only, are available for purchase in the spa’s boutique.

The spacious two-level Spa & Salon at MGM National Harbor features 11 treatment rooms, a full service salon, an advanced fitness center and soothing wet areas. In addition to skincare and massage rooms, The Spa offers couples’ suites, hydro-therapy and a Vichy room among other amenities throughout the 27,000-square-foot oasis.

“Tucked away from the bustling energy of the resort, the spa provides a relaxing retreat for guests looking for a full-day escape or for those popping in for a quick indulgence.” said Patrick Fisher, executive director of hotel operations for MGM National Harbor. “Partnering with Clarins, our guests will enjoy a truly special spa experience, with treatments unique to the region, and products that are best in class.”

Designed to optimize tranquility, the space has been stripped of ornamentation, allowing guests to focus on replenishing their mind, body and spirit. In the quiet, healing areas where guests can relax before and after treatments, their focus is drawn to the outdoors by floor-to-ceiling windows that provide sweeping vistas of the surrounding landscape. With design elements inspired by the resort’s location, guests can notice the crisp, clean lines and monolithic materials found in the region’s iconic monuments; curving, graceful contours inspired by the boats and sails seen floating on the Potomac; and textures and touches of whimsy that call to mind cherry blossoms blowing in the breeze.

Personalized attention will be given to each guest looking for a day of beauty in the full-service salon that includes four stylist stations, a color room, makeup room, four manicure stations and six pedicure stations. A separate men’s barber lounge features indulgent shaves and haircuts in a well-appointed, masculine setting.

The fitness center is fully equipped with 45 machines, free weights and circuit training areas. Instruction in a variety of core conditioning, flexibility, mobility and mind-body fitness techniques is offered in an intimate group or private movement  studio. When the weather warms, guests may take in breathtaking views from Potomac Plaza during outdoor fitness training classes led by trained instructors.

The Spa and Salon are open daily 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
