Loser's Bar Gets Permanent Home at MGM Grand Las Vegas; Grand Opening December 1

Popular honky-tonk bar with flagship location in the heart of Music City cements its place within the resort after having success as a pop-up bar location

LAS VEGAS (November 28, 2016) – Following a stint as a lucrative pop-up bar inside the “Ferrari-red” Rouge Lounge during winter and spring months, Loser’s Most Wanted Bar will return permanently to MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The bar that hosted country stars’ spontaneous performances throughout its initial run, as well as intimate shows during the Academy of Country Music Awards in April, will host its grand opening Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016.

The flagship location that first opened its doors in Nashville 11 years ago, founded by Erv Woolsey and Steve Ford, is known for its live music and casual, rustic atmosphere. The Las Vegas location will feature live music every night, with an opening-night performance by Platinum-selling country artist Mark Chesnutt from 9:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Chesnutt, known for his classic country sound, has had 14 No. 1 hits, four albums certified Platinum, five albums certified Gold and 23 singles go Top 10. Chesnutt will launch a week full of special performances by Nashville artists, including a night with Nashville’s crowd-pleasing Loser’s house band.

Featuring one of the largest TV screens in MGM Grand, Loser’s will hold its grand opening during the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) December 1-10 as well as Cowboy Christmas at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The bar also will serve its signature Bootwacker frozen drinks, “Capri Suns,” as well as eight beers on tap.

Loser’s will be open to the public for a soft opening on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
