LAS VEGAS (November 19, 2013) – Sin City transforms into Cowboy Town during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and MGM Grand Hotel & Casino will rope in guests with multiple activities fit for a champion. The resort, known as the “Home of the Champions,” has scheduled a variety of events for rodeo fans over the 10-day competition while serving as the official hotel of the NFR Tie-Down Roping contestants. MGM Grand also will host the most WNFR Gold Buckle athletes under one roof, including 18-time World Champion cowboy Trevor Brazile, who will make nightly appearances at the resort. Crown Royal Gold Buckle Zone
Back for another year – bigger and better than ever – is the “Crown Royal Gold Buckle Zone,” located near KÀ Theatre. The 8,000-square-foot space will provide a free party that rodeo fans will not want to miss. Nightly activities include appearances by “Gold Buckle Zone Cowboys,” live feeds of the rodeo, live entertainment, dancing and giveaways. Country music artists LoCash Cowboys and Damsel will perform nightly in the Gold Buckle Zone December 5 – 14 with Academy of Country Music Award winner Neal McCoy joining them December 9 – 13. 2013 “Gold Buckle Zone Cowboys” Autograph Sessions
MGM Grand is not only the official hotel of the Tie-Down Roping competitors, but it houses the most Gold Buckles under one roof. More than 25 athletes make up the elite “Gold Buckle Zone Cowboys” roster including 18-time World Champion Trevor Brazile and reigning PRCA World Champions Tuf Cooper (Tie-Down Roping, 2011 & 2012), Kaycee Feild (Bareback Riding, 2011 & 2012) and Cody Teel (Bull Riding). Other “Gold Buckle Zone Cowboys” include Stran Smith, Mary Walker, Brittany Pozzi, Shane Proctor, J.W. Harris, Will Lowe, Turtle Powell, Patrick Smith, Bobby Mote and rodeo legend and eight-time World Champion Fred Whitfield, among many others.

Nightly NFR Live Feed & “The Draw” Talk Show
MGM Grand will offer guests the opportunity to watch each NFR round live each night inside the 740-seat Wrangler Hollywood Theatre December 5 – 14. PRCA rodeo announcer Randy Taylor will host the broadcasts, and fans in attendance will enjoy drink specials, door prizes and giveaways.
The Wrangler Hollywood Theatre also will be the location of “The Draw” Talk Show, a new
pre-rodeo show hosted by 2008 World Champion Tie-Down Roper Stran Smith and his wife Jennifer, a TV journalist specializing in rodeo and a former Miss Rodeo America. The popular husband and wife duo will offer a behind-the-scenes perspective of the National Finals Rodeo as they analyze the nightly stock draw, predict round winners and interview rodeo legends including Larry Mahan, Roy Cooper and Fred Whitfield, among others. “The Draw” will take place December 5 – 14 from 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. nightly. Rodeo Week at Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club
Emmy Award-winning comedian and actor Brad Garrett brings top-quality comedy to MGM Grand with his intimate 250-seat comedy club and during the National Finals Rodeo, the venue will feature country-themed comedians. Cowboy Bill Martin and Quinn Dahle will perform December 9 – 15 and Garrett will join the two at the club December 9 – 10. All shows are scheduled at 10 p.m. nightly. NRS Shopping Experience
For the third consecutive year, MGM Grand will host the city’s greatest shopping experience inside its Marquee Ballroom Thursday, Dec. 5 – Sunday, Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The 90,000-square-foot ballroom will feature more than 60 of the most popular rodeo brands including Wrangler, Cinch, Roper, Ariat, Justin, Resistol, Stetson, Tony Lama, Circle Y Saddles, Classic and Cactus, among others. Also on-site will be tack equipment, rope making displays and fashion shows.
RAM Trucks NFR Ride & Drive Experience
Fans can experience firsthand the best-in-class performance, capabilities and competitive advantages of RAM trucks at the RAM Ride & Drive outdoor test track December 12 – 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Located at the MGM Grand Conference Center entrance, the RAM Ride & Drive will demonstrate the capabilities of RAM products and engage rodeo fans with a closed course including a 13-foot mobile hill and steel suspension ramps. 2014 Miss Rodeo America Pageant
As the host hotel of the Miss Rodeo America Pageant, MGM Grand will be the location of the eight-day competition December 2 – 9 that concludes with the crowning of the 2014 Miss Rodeo America.
