Las Vegas – UFC® announced changes to today’s UFC 196 media event at UFC GYM in Torrance, Calif.
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and fiery No. 5 lightweight contender Nate Diaz will now participate in a formal press conference at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET at UFC GYM, streamed live at UFC.com. The event is free and open to the public.
UFC announced yesterday that Diaz will replace lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos and take on McGregor in a welterweight bout in the main event of UFC 196 on Saturday, March 5 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Tickets for the event are still available.
UFC also announced that today’s scheduled 3 p.m. PT media conference call has been canceled in light of the new press conference.
