New Italian Restaurant to Dish Up Approachable Food and Cocktail Program in Vibrant Setting

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 17, 2019) –  MGM Grand will add Ambra Italian Kitchen + Bar to its array of culinary hot spots this August. Gourmands, tastemakers, party-goers and the like will be lured to The Strip’s newest restaurant and lounge to experience freshly made pastas, artisanal libations and sensual sounds, making it the place to begin a memorable night on the town.

MGM Resorts International Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage Ari Kastrati said, “Ambra will be a restaurant that offers the very best of Italy – world-class service, classic Italian dishes and a dynamic cocktail program inspired by the country’s rich history – all presented in true Vegas fashion. The hidden gem of the venue will be the speakeasy, a cocktail bar that will offer an exclusive mixology experience not to be forgotten. The intrigue of that space coupled with Ambra’s full dining experience will make the venue a sought-after destination for Las Vegas guests and visitors.”

Dine
Ambra’s chef-driven menu will boast a variety of creative Italian dishes, designed to be shared. Flavorful crudos and antipastis; housemade pastas; savory main courses of steak, chicken and fish, hearty sides and sweet desserts all will be served to diners in the restaurant’s colorful dining room. Guests will feast on reimagined classics including Wagyu Meatballs made with Japanese F1 Wagyu, King Crab Involtini stuffed with preserved lemon mascarpone and basil, Lobster Cavatelli Bolognese, 45 Day Aged Bone-In Ribeye ‘Fiorentina’ and a Chocolate Cherry Flambé, flamed tableside.

Drink
MGM Resorts International Corporate Mixologist Craig Schoettler has set the bar high again with his clever cocktail program, presenting two unique beverage experiences at the restaurant. The main bar menu will elevate popular drinks with an emphasis on flavors and ingredients found in Italy. Highlights include: The Devil is in the Details prepared with MGM’s single barrel Cruzan rum, Pineau des Charente, spiced Demerara syrup, coconut water and Angostura bitters; Senora’s Spritz made with Grey Goose vodka, aperol, soda and prosecco; and classic gin and vodka martinis with lavish garnishes.

Adjacent to the main dining room, a secluded door will lead diners to a hidden speakeasy. Italian for “private,” Privata will transport guests through liquid history, honoring the beloved classic cocktails that continue to inspire mixologists today, such as the 1850 Sazerac, the 1896 Daiquiri and the 1919 Negroni.

Design
Reminiscent of Milan at dusk, Ambra’s sultry dining space will be adorned with warm jewel tones and rich earthy hues. The glow of the honey-golden onyx countertop will create a radiant centerpiece within the bar and lounge, while the main dining room complements the fare with a modern design juxtaposed with vintage fixtures. Privata’s intimate space is inspired by luxury Italian sports cars, complete with intricate detailing on sleek leather upholstery.

Ambra Italian Kitchen + Bar is located at MGM Grand’s The District, across from Morimoto Las Vegas. Additional details on the new concept will be announced in the coming weeks.
