Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas Debuts Convenient Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Four easily accessible charging stations located in hotel’s Porte Cochere

LAS VEGAS, (August 15, 2014) - The Hotel’s lushly landscaped Porte Cochere is now home to two state-of-the-art, electric car charging stations, one for Teslas and one for other smart cars. Two additional charging stations will be installed in the Porte Cochere later this summer.
Rather than tucking the stations away in a parking garage, the charging stations at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas are easily accessible and safe in the protected entryway, so guests won’t fear leaving their expensive charging equipment behind.
“Electric vehicles are increasingly popular among our environmentally conscious guests,” says Mark Hellrung, general manager. “The convenience and accessibility of our new electric vehicle charging stations is simply an extension of our service culture.”
Both the Tesla High Powered Wall Charger (HPWC) and the NEMA 14-50 outlet supply a current of 50 amps to speed up the battery-charging process, allowing busy guests to be charged and ready to enjoy Las Vegas in record time. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas’ electric vehicle charging stations are available to overnight hotel guests and hotel restaurant and/or Spa guests. Charging stations at the adjacent Mandalay Bay parking garage are available to the public.
Catering to guests who own electric cars is the latest in a string of green initiatives for the hotel. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas partners with the “Clean the World” program, which recycles partially used soaps, shampoos and conditioners for use in impoverished areas. A second company sifts through the hotel’s trash to identify recyclable items.
Additionally, the Hotel gives guests the opportunity to participate in a water conservation program and recently introduced green dry cleaning with the purchase of a non-perchloroethylene (non-perc) machine.
