LAS VEGAS (September 26, 2018) – Professional beach volleyball player and three-time Olympic gold medalist, Kerri Walsh Jennings’ event series, p1440, announces the Las Vegas Festival Grounds as the location for the FIVB Las Vegas Open presented by p1440. From Oct. 17 – 21, p1440 will partner with Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the international governing body of volleyball, to host the 4-star, double gender FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event. The five-day event will feature a professional beach volleyball tournament showcasing the best volleyball players from around the globe, personal development experiences, entertainment and a health & wellness village. The FIVB Las Vegas Open presented by p1440 gives athletes the opportunity to earn Olympic ranking points towards qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games.

The Las Vegas Festival Grounds will transform into a live, unique, immersive experience. p1440 will ship in 3,600 tons of sand into the venue to build its custom beach volleyball courts for the professional beach volleyball tournament. Qualifiers and day one of pool play will take place on-site Wednesday, Oct. 17 and Thursday, Oct. 18.

Friday, Oct. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 21 the Las Vegas Festival Grounds will feature live entertainment with local bands and DJs; a development village encompassing high-intensity interval workouts and volleyball training with p1440 experts; a beer and wine garden; and a health & wellness village featuring daily yoga sessions, live cooking demos, tips from health experts, samples from wellness vendors and more. The family-friendly event will also cater to children with its dedicated “Kid’s Court” that includes kid-friendly activities, short workouts and challenges as well as educational discussions on training youth.

Complimentary admission will be provided to the event and attendees are encouraged to RSVP on Eventbrite. VIP ticket options are available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and go on-sale on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. PT on Ticketmaster. VIP tickets include: early entry into the event, a center court VIP bleachers section, an on-site dedicated concierge, air-conditioned restrooms as well as a VIP shaded lounge with complementary water, catered food and non-alcoholic beverages. Single day tickets are $50 and a three-day package is $100. Similar to other Festival Grounds events, there is no on-site parking. The best ways for fans to arrive to the Festival Grounds are ride share as well as the Las Vegas Monorail which drops off at SLS.
