The Professional Bull Riders Return to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Oct. 3-4

BILOXI, Miss (Sept 23, 2014) –   The Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series, which debuted at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in 2013, is returning to Biloxi, Miss., Oct. 3-4, with the Battle at the Beau, presented by PBR. The two-day event will feature more than two hours of non-stop, heart-pounding 8-second battles between 150-pound men and 2,000-pound bulls. The fans will be thrilled and left on the edge of their seats in excitement as they watch the intensity and incredulity of the PBR.
The Battle at the Beau will showcase the world’s Top 35 bull riders riding the best bucking bulls in the business for their share of the $140,000 total event purse. As the second to last event of the regular season, the cowboys will be hanging on for dear life to earn every point needed to qualify for the $2.2 million season finale – the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas Oct. 22-26. Biloxi is the 25th stop on the BFTS and one of only 26 cities to host the series this year.

Tickets for the Oct. 3-4 event are on sale to the general public and are priced from $15 to $100.  They can be purchased at, the Mississippi Coast Coliseum box office or via phone at 800-745-3000. The bull riding action begins at 8 p.m. on Friday and 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Riders currently scheduled to compete include six former PBR World Champions: J.B. Mauney (2013), Silvano Alves (2012, 2011), Renato Nunes, (2010), Kody Lostroh (2009), Guilherme Marchi (2008) and Mike Lee (2004), the defending PBR Biloxi event champion. Also expected to ride are rookie sensations Gage Gay and Tanner Byrne, and veterans Sean Willingham, L.J. Jenkins and Kasey Hayes

The weekend kicks off with the Professional Bull Riding Meet & Greet at in EIGHT75 Beau Rivage Thursday, October 2 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The public is invited to meet and take photos with bull riders Chase Outlaw and Sean Willingham. Guests can also enter a free drawing to win a lunch with a authentic PBR cowboy, an overnight stay at Beau Rivage, complimentary tickets to the weekend’s Professional Bull Riding Events and other great prizes.
Friday, October 3, the top 35 bull riders will face one bull each in Round 1. On Saturday, all 35 bull riders will face another bull in Round 2.  After these rounds, the scores will be totaled and the top 10-15 bull riders on two bulls will return for the championship round. The winner will be the rider with the highest score after three rounds of competition.
As one of the last events before the season finale PBR World Finals, the competition is sure to be fearless and intense as each man will be fighting with a determination unmatched and unseen in any other sport.

The Built Ford Tough Series will culminate with the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas on October 23-27. The finals will crown the 2013 PBR World Champion who will receive the coveted championship buckle, a $1 million bonus and a new pickup truck from Ford, the title sponsor of the Built Ford Tough Series.
