Wanda and Paul Blacksmith began their brewing hobby nearly a decade ago, learning and brewing from their childhood friend when he would return home from college. That friend is now Head Brewer, John Myers.  Dreams and talks about brewing spurred up on the deck during homebrew sessions for years, and then in September 2009 a journey of business planning began, and ultimately the reality came to exist in October of 2012, when Crooked Letter Brewing Company took residence in Ocean Springs.  Two expansions have already occurred, with the addition of four new fermentation vessels and a bottling line, which meant another Full Time Brewer could be hired.  Wanda's brother and homebrewer himself, Scott Mitchell made the move back to Mississippi from Dallas, TX.  The Brewery's Four Core Brands are distributed throughout Mississippi and Louisiana on draft and in bottle.
Goose Island Brewery is a brewery located in Chicago, Illinois, that began as a single brewpub known as Clybourn, which was opened in May 1988 by John Hall in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Illinois. The larger brewery (as we know it today) was opened in 1995, while the second brewpub, Wrigleyville, was opened in 1999.They bring tasty pints using 32 fermenters, over 15 different yeasts, state-of-the-art filters, centrifuges and a 50 barrel JV Northwest 5 vessel system that brews 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Goose Island brewery facilities have all the equipment necessary to deliver results. Goose Island produces several year-round and seasonal styles of craft beer, the best-known of which are 312 Urban Wheat Ale and Honker's Ale. Goose Island also offers Root Beer and various sodas including Orange Cream and Grape soda. The beers are distributed across the United States and the United Kingdom.
