BILOXI, Miss. –September 4, 2014 –Nestled inside the atrium of Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, Terrace Café offers a delicious new twist on café dining. This month the restaurant unveils a completely revitalized dining experience and an expansive new menu that celebrates classic southern favorites, fresh and healthy alternatives, and a number of savory specialties to satisfy every appetite.
“We are challenging the traditional café dining experience by introducing a new concept focused on quality and variety, that is centered around local and regional ingredients, superb food presentation and attentive service,” said Beau Rivage Director of Food & Beverage Stephane Hainaut. “Our goal is to evolve the café menu into a guest and local favorite. We’re focused on preserving the favorite dishes while incorporating requests of our ever-evolving clientele and their sophisticated palates.”
Separated into four distinct menus featuring breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night selections, Terrace Cafe offers a wide range of options that combine a taste of tradition with modern flavors for a fresh take on café fare.
For breakfast, guests can indulge in five different types of eggs Benedict, five different omelets and five different types of pancakes including the Red Velvet Pancakes, made with Beau Rivage’s signature Red Velvet Cake batter and topped with strawberries and cream cheese icing.
Classic dishes such as soups, salads and sandwiches are remixed for more variety and a fresh new taste. In honor of the upcoming MGM Park at Beau Rivage baseball complex, diners can order any combination of soups and sandwiches for a Home Run lunch with the MGM Park Game Changing Plays menu specials. Selections range from Tomato Basil Soup and Pimento Cheese sandwiches to the award-winning Biloxi Seafood Gumbo or New Orleans-style Gumbo Ya Ya featuring Andouille sausage, chicken, okra, and potato salad.
Terrace Café’s new menu artfully presents southern cuisine favorites from the Green Tomato Seafood Explosion, Biloxi Shrimp Roll, and Catfish Beignets, to Crispy Fried Dirty Rice Balls, New Orleans BBQ Jumbo Gulf Shrimp and an assortment of seafood po’boys and platters.
Steaks and locally caught Gulf fresh fish can be found on the dinner menu. The Yellow Fin Tuna is perfectly partnered with a sweet and spicy Sesame Ginger Sauce packing it full of flavor. The sweetly mild and flaky Red Snapper is deliciously paired with a savory Meuniere Sauce creating an unforgettable dish. Jumbo Sea Scallops, imported daily from Maine, are revved up with a Valencia Orange reduction and garnished with a bundle of basil for a twist on southern elegance. Served on bed of savory Béarnaise sauce and accompanied by two sides of choice, the Filet Mignon is one of several options for steak lovers.
For diners interested in lighter fare, Terrace Café is reinforcing MGM Resorts International’s commitment to healthy living with the addition of Smart Plate®, a program providing guests delicious and healthy menu items at 700 calories or less per dish. Smart Plate selections are designated on the menu with a specialized logo. Featured offerings include the Shrimp Cocktail, Asian Chicken Salad, Turkey Burger and Seared Atlantic Salmon.
With the new menu comes a new level of elegance in the Café. The Terrace Café culinary team expands their specialty menu items with unique, creative recipes that give guests the full Beau Rivage experience through casual dining.
