BILOXI, Miss. - Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is proud to be the official host hotel and a presenting partner of the 2018 Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon, Dec. 7-9, 2018, and offers race participants a variety of runner-friendly entrees, spa specials and live entertainment.

The Coastal Running Fest includes a marathon (26.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), 5K (3.1 miles) and kids marathon (a 1.2 mile fun run). MGM Resorts International Beau Rivage Resort & Casino has partnered with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon since its founding in 2016.

Beau Rivage has been very accomodating to our runners throughout the last two years."

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino hosts live musical performances throughout the year and is an ideal getaway destination for a vacation getaway. On Thursday and Friday, Dec. 6-7, Aaron Neville brings his Christmas show to Beau Rivage Theatre, and on Friday and Saturday, Dian Diaz takes the stage at EIGHT75 from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. while Anderson Domingues performs at Breeze Bar from 8 p.m. – 1 a.m.

A few of the Resort’s runner-friendly amenities include a world-class spa, which is perfect for pre- and post-race relaxation. The Spa at Beau Rivage will offer two specials, including the Marathon Runner Massage, which includes a full body Swedish-style massage, and the Custom Massage tailor-fit to meet specific needs from massage pressure to location and includes two enhancements. Runners showing their race bib receive an insulated water bottle with any spa service, while supplies last.

Beau Rivage’s award-winning restaurants also offer healthy, runner-friendly specials throughout the weekend.  Stalla features an assortment of authentic Italian cuisine with freshly made Pasta Ravioli, Homemade Lasagna Bolognese, delicious Chicken Parmigiana, Shrimp Scampi and other favorites, at Jia, marathon participants can enjoy a Bone-in Tomahawk Special for Two for $125.88, plus traditional sushi and teppanyaki menu offerings.  Terrace Café will offer a marathon Shrimp Scampi special for $18, and The Roasted Bean Marathon Power Pack  for $11.99 will include Fresh Cut Fruit, Banana Nut Bread, Yoplait Mixed Berry Yogurt, Powerade.  

At The Buffet, indulge pre-race in the Biloxi Seafood Festival Gumbo Grand Champion and The Sun Herald’s People’s Choice Award-winning Beau Rivage Gumbo as well as other Buffet seafood selections and made-to-order pasta. Brunch features Mimosas, Bloody Marys and Margaritas during from 8am – 2:30pm, as well as omelets and pasta made-to-order. For a $5 beverage upgrade, relax and enjoy unlimited draft beer with your meal.

After the race, celebrate with a pizza or made-to-order sandwich at Snacks, or catch up on all the football action after the race in Sports Book & Bar. Relax while enjoying more than 40 regional craft beers and signature drink options along with wings, nachos, pizzas, burgers and sandwiches.

In addition to hosting runners, Beau Rivage will provide volunteers for race weekend and employees will participate in the races as part of MGM Resorts International’s ongoing corporate wellness programming.

The three-day running festival, culminating with a beachfront marathon that begins in Pass Christian and winds along Highway 90, or Beach Boulevard, to Biloxi, is a true celebration of running and Mississippi Gulf Coast culture. Runners can expect to explore quaint coastal towns on foot, shaded by historic oak trees and ending with a finish festival at MGM Park, featuring local cuisine and live music.
